Jules the Talking Robot

Jules the talking robot was built by David Hanson. Jules could frown, smile and look slightly skeptical. In addition, Jules could make eye contact—of a sort. I think that this robot looks like a real person. The first time I saw him i thougt it was a human but then I read the caption and found out that it was a robot.

Freedom Ship

The freedom Ship is a floating city project initially proposed by Norman Nixon in the late 1990's. It was named freedom ship because of the "free" international lifestyle facilitated by a mobile ocean colony, through the project would not have been a conventional ship, but rather a series of linked barges. The freedom ship contains 1400m-long integrated city with condominium housing for 30,000 people , an airstrip to accommodate jet aircraft, duty- free shopping and other facilities, large enough to require rapid transit. The complex would circumnavigate the globe continously, shopping regularly agt ports of call.

computer viruses

computer viruses

A computer virus is a computer program that can copy itself and infect a cmputer without permission or knowledge of the user. For instence this means that if you decide to save your work on a floppy disk, cd, or USB drive and then put it on another computer the virus can spread and it can affect both computers. There are many different kinds of viruses and some of them aren't harmful. The different kinds are virus, trojan, and eorms. In my opinion i don't like viruses even though we might have some at home that we don't even know about.

Smart Shirt

"The Smart Shirt is manufactured by sensatex, but was developed by theGeorgia institude ofTechnology and originally funded by the US military's 21st Century Land Warrior Program and the Defense Advance Research Projects Agency Bowie 2000. The shirt contains sensors that can be used to monitor vital signs such as heart rate, EKG, respiration, and blood pressure Tollen 2001." as said in wikipedia.

The smart shirt is a perfect solution for athletics because it can tell there heart rate, there respiration rate, body temperature, caloric burn, and provides via a wristwatch, and a PDA/smart phone.

If someone came up to me and asked me if i earned to wear one i would say yes because if i get really sick won't need to call an ambulance they will just come to me. Also because they won't need to ask me anything about my record because it will just tell them so that is why i would like to wear a smart shirt.
